Maria Nefeli Chatziioannidou is the youngest female member of the Hellenic Parliament and the youngest member of the Greek delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. She is the co-founder of the social venture “Code it Like a Girl” and founder of the nonprofit Great Women, Greece’s first online platform dedicated to gender equality and collective action. Great Women brings to light hidden societal issues by providing a secure platform for a community of over 250,000 members to share lived experiences regarding harassment and systemic bias. She is Secretary of the Hellenic Parliament, Secretary of the Committee on Social Affairs, as well as a member of the Committee on Equality, Youth, and Human Rights and the Subcommittee on Disability Issues.
