Daniel Hegedüs is a Deputy Director of the Institut für Europäische Politik . At the German Marshall Fund, he revitalized regional democracy programs by securing funding and managing initiatives that provided grants and capacity-building assistance to over 350 organizations across eight countries. Daniel has spent his career working to strengthen civil society across the transatlantic space. He continues to champion hope-based advocacy and coordinate cross-border networks to ensure that pro-democracy stakeholders have the skills and solidarity needed to protect open societies and uphold values-based leadership in a changing global landscape. Daniel is a seasoned policy expert who has successfully managed impactful democracy programs and revitalized international support for civil society in regions facing significant authoritarian pressure.
