Lisa Badum is a climate policy leader and member of the German Bundestag, where she serves as a Spokesperson for climate policy. She has dedicated over 20 years to accelerating Germany’s energy transition and fostering multilateral climate cooperation by heading Germany’s parliamentary delegations to the annual UN climate conferences. Lisa translates her commitment to justice into tangible structural shifts, notably overturning long-standing legal restrictions on wind turbine construction in her home state of Bavaria to enable a localized clean energy expansion. At the 2024 UN climate conference, she mobilized a transnational coalition of over 130 parliamentarians to advocate for a moratorium on liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, contributing to a nearly 80% decrease in projected European LNG import capacity growth over the following year.
