Founder and Director, Omanos Analytics

United Kingdom

Celia Davies is the founder and director of Omanos Analytics, an award-winning space technology company that harnesses satellite data to support community-rooted sustainable development and environmental transparency. In parallel, she is CEO of the Sigrid Rausing Trust (SRT), a grant-making foundation supporting human rights and the environment. In both roles, Celia's work focuses on finding ways to combine the principles of human rights with community-supported innovation. At SRT, this entails supporting people and organizations working to protect human rights, the rule of law, the principles of open societies, and the environment. Her work at Omanos focuses on increasing the accessibility of space-based insights for communities, NGOs, and governments to better monitor social and environmental risks. Through Omanos, Celia translates complex technical data into meaningful tools for social good, supporting projects ranging from peatland restoration in the Scottish Highlands to validating the rights of displaced communities in Guinea and identifying offshore pollution in the Caspian Sea. By combining satellite imagery with local eyewitness testimony, Omanos works to provide the scientific evidence of community perspectives for inclusion in resilience planning and accountability efforts. Celia leverages technology to increase environmental transparency and defend communities’ rights against systemic risks.
