Head of Financial Literacy, Lietuvos Bankas
Lithuania
Viktorija Dičpinigaitienė is a financial well-being advocate, Head of Financial Literacy at the Bank of Lithuania, and a European Commission Ambassador for Financial Literacy. Inspired by the belief that financial literacy is a fundamental form of personal freedom, she led the establishment of the Centre for Financial Literacy and serves as its head, empowering individuals to make confident financial choices. The Centre addresses the needs of citizens through skill-sharing, media engagement, and bringing together national stakeholders to advance financial well-being as a shared responsibility. Under Viktorija’s leadership, the Centre established the country’s first National Financial Literacy Day in 2023 and coordinated Lithuania's participation in Global Money Week and World Investor Week. Viktorija has also pioneered creative education tools to reach wider audiences, such as a board game designed to increase awareness of financial scams and fraud. Viktorija’s work ensures that citizens have the tools to move beyond survival and actively participate in a more resilient democratic future.
