Francesco Zatelli is a lawyer and the co-founder of Pro Publico ASBL, a pan-European clearinghouse connecting civil society with law firms and public affairs consultancies volunteering pro bono services. Through matchmaking and the Brussels Pro Bono Roundtables, Pro Publico connects grassroots organizers with the legal and communications support they usually can’t access. In just three years, Francesco has facilitated 189 connections between 300 professionals and 128 organizations, generating over 2,000 hours of legal and communications assistance valued at more than $2.2 million. Francesco aids in the coordination of experts supporting democratic resilience and integrates legal pro bono into the EU’s Civil Society Hub.
