Marielle Terbio is the vice president and chief programs officer at Hawai'i Foodbank, where she leads efforts to address food insecurity and advance health equity across Oʻahu and Kauaʻi. She secures over $5 million annually to sustain programs serving more than 165,000 people per month while successfully executing and scaling impactful programs, such as a school pantry initiative from a single site to over 60 across Hawaiʻi. Inspired by her community-oriented upbringing on Guam, lived experience and core values of peace and service, Marielle builds systems that ensure dignified access to nutritious and culturally familiar foods for all. Her work in innovating and scaling access to food has helped guide the food bank's disaster-feeding response and invested in the local food system to reduce import dependency. Marielle is driven by a vision for systems change, shared knowledge and growth, and a food secure Hawaiʻi.
