Singapore
Chandra Gunawan is the head of programs and partnerships and AI for good alliance lead at AI Singapore, the Singapore government’s initiative focused on democratizing artificial intelligence for the public good. He built cross-sector coalitions reaching 100,000 learners across 14 Asia-Pacific countries and mobilized $1 million in philanthropic funding for human-centered technology initiatives. He now aims to scale inclusive AI literacy and governance frameworks to help frontline communities navigate rapid digital shifts. Previously, he directed a national financial literacy program that improved the economic well-being of 70,000 marginalized youth with Citi Foundation. Chandra believes technology should protect human dignity, not deepen inequality. His work focuses on turning complex tech policy into practical, community-rooted solutions across both developed and emerging economies.
