Survivor Fund Associate, The Network Advocating Against Domestic Violence

Preventing tenant displacement and advancing homeownership opportunities by championing community land trust models and bridging gaps between residents, advocacy, and policy.

Hailey Aldrich is an incoming associate at The Network Advocating Against Domestic Violence, where she is continuing her work supporting often overlooked communities in finding safety and stability. In addition to serving as a summer intern at the Latin United Community Housing Association through the Illinois Housing Council Emerging Leaders Internship Program, she was a 2025-2026 Kreisman Graduate Fellow and Resident Support Intern at the Chicago Metropolitan Housing Development Corporation (CMHDC). At CMHDC, she designed resource guides and hosted a resource fair to help vulnerable tenants make informed decisions about their futures and limit displacement during the building rehabilitation processes. Hailey has also worked with the National Homelessness Law Center in Washington, D.C. to protect and expand the rights of those experiencing homelessness, and in Chicago, she continues this work as an Associate Board member of the Chicago Coalition to End Homelessness and is an active volunteer with Chicago Street Medicine, providing resources and services to the city's unhoused neighbors. Through the Scholars program, Hailey plans to develop an action plan that fortifies the community land trust model in greater Chicago to build sustainable, alternative paths to homeownership and long-term affordability. Leveraging the program's systems thinking curriculum to find leverage points in the housing ecosystem, Hailey aims to facilitate cross-sector collaboration to advance a sustainable housing agenda that centers the dignity of the people it serves.
