Bhavya Sharma is the former public policy manager at Chase Advisors in India, where she led legislative advocacy, public sector engagement, and regulatory strategies to address complex human rights crises. She pioneered a survivor-centric public policy model, partnering with survivors to establish Integrated Leadership Forum Against Trafficking, a survivor-led anti-trafficking forum. This survivor-led forum successfully placed lived experience at the center of national policymaking. Her collaborative leadership mobilized over 4,500 members to directly advise eight government ministries and 150 Members of Parliament, securing milestones in both a Parliamentary Committee report and the global G20 Leaders' Declaration. Through the Scholars program, Bhavya aims to develop Punar-Path (Reintegrate), an AI and technology-driven platform that maps a survivor's journey from rescue to reintegration to ensure they receive comprehensive rehabilitative care, justice, and support, including pathways to skills-building and school re-enrollment. To bridge the gap between grassroots traction and global application, Bhavya hopes to leverage the program's emphasis on storytelling and communication to effectively negotiate with decision makers, build global partnerships to combat human trafficking, and accelerate her goal to elevate survivor voices into a worldwide standard of care.
