Expanding social services to traditionally underserved families through tech-powered innovations and community-based solutions.
Erica Choi is a Growth Fellow at Fabric Health, where she works to expand access to social services for traditionally underserved families. Previously, she served as the program director of Study Buddies Connect at the Association to Benefit Children in East Harlem, where she witnessed firsthand the critical gaps in mental health support for youth. Motivated to address these systemic failures, she transitioned into early-stage ventures, working with teams like the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab team at the Harris School of Public Policy to build go-to-market strategies for Chat2Learn, an AI-powered early childhood development tool designed to help all families give their children a strong start to language learning. Currently, she supports technical efforts at Fabric Health, an early-stage startup focused on connecting eligible community members with essential social services. Through the Scholars program, Erica plans to learn how to best collaborate with government stakeholders to design an intervention that offers integrated, wraparound social services. She aims to leverage the program's systems thinking curriculum to identify new leverage points for scaling access and ensuring her work effectively reaches those who need it most.
