Margo Franz is the abortion access project lead and public health nurse at the Washington State Department of Health, where she leads statewide efforts to expand abortion access by directing public funding, shaping policy, and working with government, healthcare providers, and community organizations. She founded and now leads Washington’s first Abortion Access Project, transforming the state’s response to the rapidly changing reproductive rights policy environment. Margo has directed more than $30M in state funding to expand care, and brought together a 40-member advisory group to build the state’s main online abortion resource hub, shaping state and national across-state health departments.
