Caroline Hutton is the director of investments and operations at Unite & Renew, a philanthropic venture fund investing in structural civic participation reform, voting rights, and electoral reform. She oversees a multi-million dollar investment portfolio to support nonprofit organizations and ballot initiatives advancing free and fair elections. Previously Caroline served as the Voter Protection Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, where she led over 6500 volunteers across 12 statewide elections. Her work helped secure policy changes and expanded voter access in Wisconsin. Caroline has removed barriers to voting, from building volunteer infrastructure as a field organizer in Iowa to managing large-scale election protection operations in battleground states. She now focuses on translating grassroots civic engagement into sustained, systems-level investment strategies that strengthen democracy over the long term.
