Sia Towo is the country manager at Femme International, a non-profit organization in East Africa that provides menstrual and sexual reproductive health education, research, and menstrual product distribution. Sia and her team implement the organization’s Twaweza Program in collaboration with local schools and community-based groups, with the goal of creating safe spaces for dialogue about puberty, reproductive anatomy, sexual health, body hygiene, menstruation, and menstrual management. Sia seeks to influence education and health policy to improve menstruation health and promote gender equality in Africa.
