Drawing on firsthand experiences with linguistic and cultural barriers to health care, Maya Kulesza is interested in immigrant and refugee health, particularly how language, culture, displacement, and structural barriers affect people's ability to access and navigate health care. She hopes to use clinical medicine and research to develop practical interventions that make care more accessible and responsive to these communities.
