Zukiswa Mqolomba

Zukiswa is a senior researcher, senior policy analyst, and scholar-activist who currently works for the government as a director in social insurance schemes for the Department of Social Development. She is a political economist by training. She is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar and Chevening scholar, as well as former President of the SRC at the University of Cape Town. She is also a YALI fellow and an EALP fellow. She is currently doing her Ph.D. in Political Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is specializing in China/Africa relations. She has two masters’ degrees: a masters from the University of Cape Town and a masters in poverty and development from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. She also holds an executive leadership training certificate in 21st Century Leadership with Harvard University in Boston, United States. Previous work includes work as an ETC consultant for the World Bank in Washington, DC. She is a pan-Africanist.
