Venoranda is the team leader of Youth Changers Kenya, a community-based organization that seeks to promote sexual and reproductive health among young people with a focus on adolescent girls and young women from rural and peri-urban settlements. She is also a child and youth psychologist who is keen about the mental health challenges of children and youths. Venoranda believes in promoting social change for young people led by young people and has over a decade's experience in sexual health, human rights, and advocacy at the global, regional, national and community level. She has vast experience with the Kenyan media and has written articles in the local newspapers concerning youth-friendly services, parent-youth communication, mental health, and sexuality. She recently received recognition for her contribution in the lives of the youths and was also given an award for being the best scientist in the area of child and adolescent health.
