Kubuya Mwisa

Mwisa is a National Civil Affairs Officer in the Peacekeeping mission in DRC ( MONUSCO), with 15 years of experience in the UN. His main duties consist of supporting the restoration of state authority and enhancing civil society in post-conflict and conflict-torn settings. He facilitates conflict transformation and community reconciliation efforts and develops and monitor the implementation of peacebuilding programs. Mwissa assists in developing a comprehensive strategy for the peacekeeping mission by tailoring the mission mandate to the language of the Security Council Resolution. He assists more often in evolving small and large scale quick impact projects in order to enhance peace, stability, and consolidation of democracy and good governance in the fragile DRC. Mwissa is currently in an online MBA program in international business at Cumbria University in UK. He holds a university degree in management and business management. Mwissa is fluent in English, French, and Swahili.
