Advancing Civic Engagement and Collective Action The Obama Foundation is shaping the next generation of leaders by redefining civic engagement as a practice rooted in integrity, empathy, resilience, and collective action. We harness our platform, convening power, and voice to bring communities and institutions together, spotlight innovative solutions, amplify shared goals, and scale meaningful impact. With partners like the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, this vision comes to life— not only through the Obama Presidential Center, where visitors leave inspired to drive change in their own communities, but also through our Democracy Forums, where leaders gather to exchange bold ideas and tackle the country’s most urgent challenges. Together, we’re turning possibility into action and ideas into lasting impact. The MacArthur Foundation has graciously supported the Obama Presidential Center’s branch of the Chicago Public Library, a programming room on the campus, our work in Chicago, and our Democracy Forum. Building Brighter Futures Together Through Investment, and Population-Level Impact
As a key supporter of The Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBK), Enterprise Mobility’s ROAD Forward initiative is committed to advancing social equity by expanding educational and career opportunities for young people. The initiative helps boys and young men of color achieve the six key milestones linked to long-term success. This partnership has supported 45 MBK certified communities nationwide, helping to drive measurable results in MBK communities, such as reductions in homicides and increases in graduation rates.
Advancing Opportunities for Adolescent Girls with lululemon Gives
With support from lululemon Gives, a global initiative that advances mental health and wellbeing thought movement and mindfulness, The Girls Opportunity Alliance Fund supported 18 grassroots organizations working to expand opportunities for girls around the world.
From Chicago to Naples, these initiatives are expected to reach more than 5,000 girls, helping unlock access to education, leadership development, and pathways to brighter futures.
The support has also enabled the Girls Opportunity Alliance to convene girl-serving leaders and stakeholders in Peru, Mauritius, and Chicago, where participants engaged in expert-led discussions on girls’ health and safety, organizational sustainability, and mindful leadership.
Together with partners like lululemon Gives, the Girls Opportunity Alliance is helping create a world where more girls have more opportunities to achieve their full potential.
