George Wang is the co-founder of Supporting Initiatives to Redistribute Unused Medicine (SIRUM), a nonprofit organization that expands health care access by donating unused medicine to patients in need. George oversees the logistical processes, forms medical partnerships, and handles legal consultations to prepare and distribute surplus drugs to underserved patients at no cost. Under his leadership, SIRUM has provided over two million prescriptions worth $200 million to more than 150,000 patients. Prior to SIRUM, George completed a Ph.D. in Biology from Stanford University and even discovered a gene for neural plasticity (grld-1).
