Vidya Ayyr is the director of community social impact at Parkland Health. In her role, she leads high-impact interventions to address the social determinants of health, with a commitment to health equity. Vidya is also the chief executive officer and founder of BrainCharge, a nonprofit with a mission to serve the community of caregivers who are supporting individuals impacted by brain-related trauma, injury, or illness. BrainCharge is working to build a national network to connect the country’s estimated 53 million unpaid family caregivers to resources and relief. Vidya is passionate about advocating the health and mental well-being of vulnerable communities.
