Luke Rackers is the director of development and communications at the Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA), an organization that empowers people to age with dignity and choice. After a first career as a pianist, composer, and music educator, Luke moved into nonprofit leadership by serving two terms as a direct AmeriCorps member at CVCOA. From there, they worked as a volunteer program coordinator and then developed a new role to help bridge the digital divide for older adults in Central Vermont. Luke is a passionate advocate for LGBTQIA+ older adults and helps create new social opportunities that honor the creativity, self-expression, and voices of older adults and care partners.
