Whitney Achieng Okumu is the Founder of Girls Tomorrow Initiative, a civil society organization that strives to engage youth, girls, and women through technology and training on matters of menstrual hygiene management, health rights, and community development. Commonly referred to as the "menstruation guru," through simple sustainable solutions she has restored dignity to more than 1,000 girls and women from marginalized communities and even earned national recognition from the 2018 Women4women awards jury for her civic society engagement.
