Thulile Khanyile

Thulile is a lecturer, Ph.D. candidate, and researcher at WITS. Her research is on investigating various DNA based vaccine strategies against HIV-1. Thulile is the co-founder and co-executive director of Nka'Thuto EduPropeller, NPO. Nka'Thuto teaches research methodology skills and business concepts to learners from previously disadvantaged schools in township and rural areas. This is with the aim of empowering the learners to develop STEM-based solutions to problems that they encounter in their communities. The learners are subsequently taught to convert their technology-based solutions to business cases with the potential to reach the market.
