Theresa Cooper
Sierra Leone
Theresa is a graduate of the University of Sierra Leone Fourah Bay College. She has eight years of experience working in community development, project implementation in education, child protection, governance, gender, and HIV/Aids. She is an activist for the protection of children, to ensure their rights becomes a reality. Theresa is the project officer for the School Me project at Save the Children, working with national and community stakeholders in 60 school communities. Her job is to ensure gender parity and equal access to primary education for both boys and girls for them to be retained and successfully complete their primary education. She works with men and women's groups that she formed, teachers and the school management committees to ensure safety and friendly learning environment for children. Theresa is innovative, hard-working, and result oriented. She is very respectful and lays down principles in administrative dispensation.
