Uganda

Robert is a social worker working with children in less privileged communities such as slums and remote communities. He uses the game of chess as a platform to restore and transform their lives by awakening the sleeping genius in each of them. He then helps them seek opportunities for formal and vocational education to help them reach their full potential in life. Through this work, over 1500 children have been positively impacted not only in Uganda but also in Kenya, Botswana, Cameroon and other parts of the world where the philosophy is being initiated. Part of his social work is portrayed in the book “The Queen of Katwe” and in the Disney Movie of the same title.
