Patrick Mugula

Mugula is leading a security sector reform program which seeks to improve confidence between security services and communities they serve through a series of dialogue and related activities which support participants in jointly identifying and addressing local security issues through a transparent, iterative and participatory process. His role is the strategic orientation, management of technical and institutional partnerships, and maintaining the quality of the implementation of this ambitious program. His 8 years of working in SSR helped him build confident relations with influent actors at the political, institutional, and community level, which allowed him to bring all the actors around the table to find a nonviolent solution to their problems. Mugula is one of the founders of the first youth entrepreneurship promotion platform in the city of Bukavu in RD. of Congo through the incubation of startups. He holds a master's degree in business administration.
