Join a live karaoke celebration on the plaza featuring classics from soul, R&B, and contemporary honoring President Obama’s birthday. With a mix of styles, voices, and levels of experience, it's all up to the people! You can come ready with something in mind or decide when you get there. You don’t have to sing to be part of it. You can stay in the crowd, watch, and spend time in the space as the set moves along. Hosted by The People's Stage Karaoke with Pablo Serrano.

Grab the mic or cheer from the crowd at this high-energy, all-ages karaoke party celebrating President Obama’s birthday with great music and community vibes.

3 p.m. – Doors Open
3:30 p.m. – Open-Mic Karaoke Begins: Sign up to sing your go-to track. All voices and experience levels welcome.
6:30 p.m. – Celebratory Group Sing-Along: Join the entire plaza as we close out the night together in song.
7:15 p.m. – Closing DJ Set
8 p.m. – Event Concludes

Named in honor of late civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, the John Lewis Plaza is a lively and animated outdoor space that welcomes visitors to the Center. The Plaza–which serves as an entry point for the Forum, Museum, and Library buildings–is a dynamic hub built to foster the spirit of community that was central to the legacy and work of Congressman Lewis.
