Our Values

The Obama Foundation carries forward the legacy of President and Mrs. Obama through a values-based leadership framework called our Hope to Action Values. This set of values is inspired by President and Mrs. Obama and embodied by individuals across ages, stages, and cultures.

Insurance

The Obama Foundation is proud to offer comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance for eligible employees, spouses/domestic partners, and dependent children. Medical benefits include prescription drug coverage.
Paid Time Off

The Obama Foundation offers a paid time off package for full-time and part-time employees, including paid vacation, sick days, 1 floating holiday, and 11 holidays.
Retirement

The Obama Foundation makes a safe harbor matching contribution equal to 100 percent of your elective deferrals, up to 4 percent of your compensation.

Life Insurance

The Obama Foundation-paid life insurance is provided to eligible employees. Eligibility will determine the amount of coverage.
Disability Insurance

The Obama Foundation provides short-term and long-term disability insurance. The benefit is 60 percent of weekly or monthly earnings, respectively. Short-term disability is only applicable to full-time exempt/nonexempt employees.
Additional Lifestyle Benefits

The Obama Foundation offers paid lifestyle benefits including:
- Employee Assistance Program, which offers confidential emotional support, work-life solutions, legal guidance, financial resources, and more;
- LinkedIn Learning subscription; and
- 16 weeks of parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents.

The Obama Foundation also offers:
- Supplemental life insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your children; and
- Supplemental Health Benefits, such as accident insurance; and
