Obama Presidential Center Opening Promotion

Eligibility. PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. PROMOTION VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. PROMOTION OPEN ONLY TO INDIVIDUAL UNITED STATES CITIZENS AND LAWFUL PERMANENT U.S. RESIDENTS WHO ARE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND PUERTO RICO, AND OVER THE AGE OF 18 (OR THE AGE OF MAJORITY UNDER APPLICABLE LAW). IF YOU DO NOT MEET ANY OF THESE REQUIREMENTS, OR ANY OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE, AND THE BARACK OBAMA FOUNDATION ("SPONSOR") RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO AWARD A PRIZE TO YOU. To be eligible to win the Prize, entries must be completed and received by Sponsor in the format designated below. Directors, officers and employees of Sponsor and any of their respective affiliated committees, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, consultants, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any Prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

Disclaimer. Sponsor, and its related affiliates, directors, officers, consultants, partners professional advisors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Promotion disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor or by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion.

Promotion Period. The Promotion starts on Friday, March 6 at 12pm Central Time and ends at 12pm Central Time on Sunday, April 5, 2026  (the "Promotion Period"). All entries must be received during the Promotion Period to be eligible to win a Prize.

Prizes. One (1) winner will receive the following prize (the "Prize"):

1. Two (2) general admission tickets to the invite-only Grand Opening Ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, June 18, 2026 (the “Event”). (See additional details below)

2. If the winner lives 100 miles or more from the Obama Presidential Center, $1,500.00 U.S. dollars (USD$1,500.00) to offset travel expenses and incidental expenses, awarded in the form of ACH or wire payment or a check (a “Travel Stipend”). (See additional details below)

Approximate retail value of Prize (inclusive of Travel Stipend (if applicable)): USD $2,000.00.

The Obama Presidential Center is located at 6001 S. Stony Island Ave. Chicago, IL 60637. The winner must be available to travel to Chicago, Illinois. 

The Prize does not include tickets to or for any other event, program, activity or exhibition, other than as specifically set forth herein. The Prize does not include entry into the Obama Presidential Center Museum. 

The Event dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Sponsor and are subject to change. The Event is subject to cancellation in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Event tickets are only valid on the Event date, and the winner must redeem the Event tickets on the Event date or forfeit all rights to the Prize. No alternate dates are available. If the Event is cancelled by the Sponsor, no alternate prize nor any cash equivalent will be awarded to the winner. If the Event is rescheduled to a date the winner cannot attend, no alternate prize or cash equivalent will be awarded to the winner and the winner will forfeit all rights to the Prize. 

Prize winner agrees to comply with all applicable Event, Sponsor and venue policies, rules and regulations and any applicable law in connection with the Event and the Sponsor reserves the right to revoke a Prize (in whole or in part) from any winner and/or guest who Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, may be intoxicated, a safety risk, or violates any Event, Sponsor or venue policy, rule, or regulation, or any applicable law. The Prize winner and their guest are subject to all screenings and security protocols applicable to all attendees at the Event, which may include screenings or protocols prior to the Event date. The winner’s guest for the Event must be at least ten years old. The Released Parties will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, local, state or federal regulation, order or policy, work stoppage, epidemic, pandemic, or any other issue concerning public health or safety, or any other natural disaster or event outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of the Event.

The winner will only be eligible to receive a Travel Stipend if the winner lives 100 miles or more from the Obama Presidential Center. If the winner is eligible for the Travel Stipend: (i) the Travel Stipend will be paid via ACH, wire, or check, at the Sponsor’s discretion; (ii) the winner must provide the Sponsor with a completed and signed Form W-9; and (iii) the winner must provide the Sponsor with valid secondary banking document (such as a voided check or banking details on banking letterhead) if applicable for the payment method. The difference in Prize value will not be awarded to the winner in any manner if the winner is not eligible for the Travel Stipend. 

No transportation or accommodations are included with the Prize.  The winner and their guest are solely responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the Event and for satisfying all required conditions of travel. The winner and their guests will be responsible for all transportation and accommodations, such as an airline flight, hotels/lodging, automobile transportation to/from airports, and transportation on Event day or otherwise at the Event. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. 

No cash equivalent is available for the Prize. The Prize is  non-transferable, nor will the Prize be replaced if lost or stolen. No substitution will be made except as may be expressly provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Additional Prize award details and information to be provided to the winner at the time of notification.

Odds; Taxes; Etc. Odds of winning a Prize depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received (estimated total entries: more than 2,000). ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF WINNER. All Prizes will be awarded. The Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternative winner if two (2) attempts to contact the potential winner by phone and/or e-mail are not successful, or if any Prize is otherwise not claimed. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any Prizes will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize. Limit one Prize per household or address. All Prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).

Identity of Entrant. In the event of a dispute about the identity of the entrant, entries made online will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. An authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.

How to Enter. Participants may enter as follows: (a) Free Online Entry Method: To enter via the free online entry method, visit obama.org/opc-sweeps (Opens in a new tab) or other web page specifically identified by Sponsor and complete and submit the online entry form during the Promotion Period. (b) Contribution Method: We are asking for a donation of any amount to The Barack Obama Foundation (the “Obama Foudnation”). We do not accept contributions from registered foreign agents or minors under the age of 18. To enter by contributing money to the Obama Foundation, complete and submit the contribution form at obama.org/opc-sweeps-donate (Opens in a new tab) or other web page specifically identified by Sponsor during the Promotion Period. No minimum contribution is necessary to enter. Entering via the contribution method described in this paragraph (b) will not increase your chances of winning the Prize. Contributions may be spent on any activities of Sponsor as it determines in its sole discretion and will not be earmarked for any particular purpose.

For All Entry Methods: Failure to submit all required information in the manner required in these Official Rules and/or any entry or contribution form may result in disqualification. Proof of contribution or online entry will not be deemed to be proof of receipt of entry by Sponsor. All entrants and entries are subject to verification by Sponsor. The entry must include a valid email address. The entry must fulfill all Promotion requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Individuals may not enter the Promotion by any and all methods combined more than ten (10) times in any calendar day. 

By entering the Promotion, you consent to being placed on an e-mail mailing list to receive information from Sponsor and for other purposes in accordance with Sponsor's privacy statement available at https://obama.org/privacy-statement .

Promotion Rules. Sponsor will, in its sole discretion, select at random one (1) winner from the list of eligible potential winners. Winner will be notified by phone or e-mail by April 10, 2026. To claim the Prize, winner should follow the instructions and comply with the conditions contained in the winner’s notification. In the event that not enough potential winners respond to Sponsor's attempts to contact them or are otherwise disqualified such that Sponsor is unable to award all Prizes, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select additional potential winners by random drawing from remaining eligible entries.

Participation Conditions; Affidavit & Release. An entry must fulfill all Promotion requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. An entry must include a valid email address. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Prize winner and their guest are subject to verification by Sponsor, including the screenings and security protocols applicable to all attendees at the Event. The Prize winner must provide Sponsor with a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any Prize will be awarded. A Form 1099 will be provided to the Prize winner by the Sponsor for any Prize with a value that equals or exceeds $2,000.00. A completed and signed Form W-9 and valid secondary banking document (such as a voided check or banking details on banking letterhead) if applicable for the payment method must be received by the Sponsor within the time specified by Sponsor in order to claim the Travel Stipend (if applicable) . As a condition of being awarded any Prize, winners and their guests (if applicable) may be required to execute and deliver to Sponsor a signed affidavit of eligibility and acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability, and any other security, legal, regulatory, or tax-related documents required by Sponsor in its sole discretion. It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure compliance with any such requirements. If a potential Prize winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and timely return any required forms and/or required releases, declines the Prize, or notification of the Prize is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits the Prize. PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND EXPRESSLY AGREES THAT THESE OFFICIAL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND MODIFICATION BY SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.

General Release. By entering the Promotion, you release Sponsor and all Released Parties from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any Prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.

Publicity: Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion constitutes entrant’s consent for the Sponsor and the Sponsor’s designees to use entrant’s name, voice, likeness, statements, photographs, audiovisual recordings, opinions, biographical information, and state of residence for purpose of advertising the Promotion, any subsequent drawing, contest, or other promotion by Sponsor, any Sponsor event or program, or for any other commercial purpose, in each case in any media or manner, now known or hereafter devised, without payment, consideration, notice, or approval. 

Privacy Statement . The personal information provided by entrants may be used as provided in Sponsor’s privacy statement or these Official Rules. See Sponsor’s privacy statement at https://obama.org/privacy-statement for details regarding use of the personal information collected in connection with this Promotion. In the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and such privacy statement, these Official Rules shall control. By entering the Promotion, you grant Sponsor permission to correspond with you via email regarding the Promotion, to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information with third parties for the purpose of Promotion administration, communication and fulfillment or for any other purposes permitted by these Official Rules or the Privacy Statement. Sponsor will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party other than as permitted by these Official Rules or the Privacy Statement.

Winner List; Rules Request. For a copy of the winner list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after April 10, 2026 and before April 10, 2027 to Sponsor at the address listed below, Attn: "Obama Presidential Center Opening Promotion. ”

Miscellaneous. The Promotion and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the District of Columbia without regard to its or any other jurisdiction's choice of law provisions. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect. Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Promotion or any entrant's participation in the Promotion should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Promotion, or Sponsor otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Promotion as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, violate any law, rule or regulation in connection with participation in the Promotion, tamper with the operation of the Promotion or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Promotion or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Promotion.
