Psychology and Public Health I plan to focus on addressing health inequities in Puerto Rico. As a Puerto Rican native, I was a first-hand witness to the long-term effects of Hurricane Maria on the infrastructure necessary to the wellness of Puerto Ricans. This includes disruption of services at care facilities, limited access to essential health items, and mental health issues.
