Involve BYMOC in the development of a Policy agenda – from inception to implementation,

Obtain Pledges of support from local officials for BYMOC centric policies

Identify city and community advisory boards for MBK partners to serve on, offering BYMOC perspective on policy development

Conduct a resource analysis – review budgets for each partner to uncover how resources are flowing in support of the MBK goals

Acquire pledges of support from non-governmental institutions to allocate resources to racial equity work

Acquire pledges of financial support for evaluating partner institutions

Conduct a systems analysis – uncover what is going on socially, politically, legislatively, programmatically in your community that should be considered

Select one system to engage in reform discussion and implementation

Enter into a memorandum of understanding with key decision makers to engage in system reform

Create a 3-5-year plan for system change with measurable goals

Develop and conduct a racial equity analysis

Evaluate non-governmental institutions (private / non-profit) that continue to perpetuate inequities in the local community
