MBK Springfield accepted the MBK Community Challenge to improve the lives of boys and young men of color in 2017. MBK Springfield calls for innovative approaches to strengthen support systems and networks of opportunity for boys and young men of color to close persistent opportunity gaps. MBK Springfield is focused on two of the six milestones: (1) improving school readiness and (2) ensuring that boys and young men of color are reading at grade level by the third grade.
