MBK of the Heartland accepted the MBK Community Challenge to improve the lives of boys and young men of color in 2015. MBK of the Heartland has been able to build collective will in the Greater Omaha, NE/Council Bluffs, IA region to help ensure this locally for their boys and young men of color including the following counties: Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders and Washington in Nebraska & Harrison, Mills and Pottawattamie in Iowa. In 2018, MBK of the Heartland was selected as an MBK Seed Community and is focused on all six MBK milestones.
