This panel conversation provided an overview on Houston’s Citywide Effort to Address Implicit Bias in School Discipline and how it was built to be a “grass top” initiative, working with and following the lead of the community. 

Expected Outcomes

  • Viewers will understand how local government co-creating with advocacy groups, youth and community provides the transparency needed to build real trust

  • Viewers will understand that system change is always multi-system.

  • Viewers will understand that systems can not easily become “Persons of Trust” for community, but they empower and build relationships with those who are
