Zelmy Allen is a senior manager on Pfizer's Pediatric/Maternal + Health Equity Marketing team. Previously, she was the community engagement specialist for Pfizer's Vaccine Adoption and Equity team, where she addressed health disparities, particularly in marginalized communities, through strategies that increase access to vaccines and health education. By collaborating with more than 50 community-based groups, she tackled systemic issues like misinformation and provided culturally appropriate health information to over 10,000 people. She spearheaded a train-the-trainer pilot program that empowered community health workers to educate 2,000 people on vaccine confidence and led listening sessions with over 200 expecting mothers to inform them of tailored educational resources on vaccination programs.
