Tara Puckey is the executive director of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), where she leads national efforts to rebuild trust in journalism and foster collaboration with newsrooms across the country. Tara has developed leadership training programs, equipping more than 3,600 journalists with the tools to report ethically and responsibly, responding to declining trust in media. She has designed the “Leaders of Tomorrow” program to foster the next generation of newsroom leaders and led partnerships that have expanded RTDNA’s reach and impact across the U.S. Tara is committed to bridging the gap between the journalism community and the public and hopes to leverage the power of members-based associations as a vehicle to shape the future of responsible, ethical, and inclusive journalism in local rural communities to strengthen democratic culture.
