Richard Williams is the lead pastor at the Metropolitan United Methodist Church and founder and executive director of the Beacon Center, a church-led community hub where he leads efforts addressing food insecurity, access to healthcare, and workforce development. Richard launched the Next Steps Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Montgomery County that offers pro bono education, job training, mental health resources, and housing assistance to individuals in the criminal justice system. Through his work at the intersection of faith and community, Richard fosters deep community partnerships, breaks down barriers to opportunity, and empowers families on their journey to stability and self-sufficiency.
