Lamisa Chowdhury
2025-2026 Obama Foundation USA Leader

Program Officer, Thriving Communities, Patagonia, Inc.
Los Angeles, California
Lamisa Chowdhury is a program officer at Patagonia, Inc., where she leads the development of the Thriving Communities portfolio, strategically reshaping corporate giving to center environmental justice and neighborhood activism. She led a comprehensive listening tour with over 40 community organizations, nonprofits, and experts to design the portfolio’s strategy, which supports grassroots organizations to provide communities equitable access to health, land, energy, water, air, and food. Focused on localized challenges disproportionately impacting historically under-resourced communities, Lamisa drives Patagonia's commitment through storytelling, teach-ins, and policy advocacy, building upon existing community power and movement organizing to promote a more environmentally sound future.
