Director of Policy, Anti-Defamation League

Tacoma, Washington

Kendall T. Kosai is the director of policy at the Anti-Defamation League, where he exposes the root causes of hate while promoting community and victim safety. He is addressing antisemitism and extremism through policy solutions for victim support, community security, and addressing emerging threats that create long-term safety. Kendall passed state-level legislation that creates a hate and bias incident hotline for victims to receive services while tracking data, secured millions in funding through multiple state budgets to create a supplemental state nonprofit security grant program, and created civil remedies for victims of emerging trends of online hate, including swatting and doxing. Kendall previously worked as the Deputy Director at the Asian Pacific American Advocates, where he led national public policy to advance the sociopolitical well-being of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
