Jordan James Harvill is the senior director of national programs at Advance Native Political Leadership, where he leads a comprehensive ecosystem that supports Native communities in political leadership. Jordan launched the Native Leadership Institute, the first and currently only program dedicated to recruiting and training Native leaders for public office, which has trained over a hundred Native candidates. He also built the Native Elected Leaders Network, engaging over 400 Native elected officials and developed the first nationwide endorsement program for Native candidates. Previously, as founding chief of staff of VoteAmerica, he designed its organizational infrastructure and scaled a $12.5 million voter mobilization operation, registering over 5.7 million individuals. Jordan’s leadership and commitment to building self-determined Native power is shaped by his personal experience with the Indian Child Welfare Act.
