Jamila Parham-Cullers is the founder and chief executive officer at The Tech Unicorn, a social impact organization that empowers girls and women of color to pursue careers in STEM through education, mentorship, and strategic partnerships. Jamila has reached over 17,000 students and young professionals, contributing to a 40% increase in young women of color pursuing STEM degrees in Chicagoland through annual flagship programming, partnerships with Chicago Public Schools and local universities, and collaboration with big tech corporations like Microsoft to deliver STEM literacy resources like laptops and cybersecurity training. Growing up on Chicago’s South Side and witnessing the need for educational equity, she is committed to promoting careers in technology for underrepresented groups.
