Halim A. Flowers
2025-2026 Obama Foundation USA Leader

CEO, Artonomics
Brandywine, Maryland
Halim A. Flowers is the chief executive officer of Artonomics, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering artists with financial literacy—teaching them how to price their work, manage budgets, and navigate royalties to achieve long-term financial independence. After launching his organization while incarcerated, he has led multiple workshops to help artists build strategic capacity to secure grants, price art effectively, and negotiate licensing deals, fostering sustainable success. His artwork can be seen globally, including at the Venice Biennale and the Ford Foundation, and he collaborates with brands like Warner Bros. and Blackstone. By addressing systemic undervaluation of artistic labor, Halim helps dismantle economic inequities in the creative industries, ensuring fair compensation and opportunities for marginalized voices, thus expanding access to the art industry.
