Claudel Kamgang is the founder and chief executive officer at Companion, a journaling app powered by mental-health-trained artificial intelligence to help people rediscover themselves through intentional reflection. He is the former principal product manager at Microsoft (Xbox), where he advocated for gaming accessibility and affordability using less hardware to reduce the carbon footprint. Claudel and his team at Microsoft successfully led the launch of Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing millions of gamers from over 21 countries to access over 150 games through an accessible app, without a cost-prohibitive Xbox console. His work reduced console energy consumption, avoiding over 1.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. Claudel envisions a future where creativity, supported by technology and storytelling, enables diverse voices to thrive and connect.
