Sergio J. Alcubilla III is the executive director of the Hawaiʻi Workers Center, a nonprofit organization that supports workers as they organize for their own social and economic well-being. As part of his role, Sergio has led initiatives advocating for paid sick leave, mandatory paid breaks, and the elimination of the “tip penalty.” Previously, he served as the Director of External Relations and staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaiʻi. In that role, Sergio worked to expand access to affordable housing solutions for immigrant community members and advocated for social benefits for underserved populations.
