Raymond “Ray” López-Chang is the director of advocacy and planning at Great Public Schools Now, a nonprofit focused on improving public education in Los Angeles. Ray runs the Digital Equity Los Angeles initiatives, addressing disparities such as limited access to technology and internet for students and schools, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, he worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District’s board of education and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. In 2010, Ray became California’s youngest elected official, serving on Los Angeles' Historic Cultural Neighborhood Council. He sits on several community boards, including the Asian Democrats of Los Angeles County and the YMCA Southeast Los Angeles.
