Founder and Director, Re:wild Your Campus

Honolulu, Hawaiʻi/Edinburg, Texas

Mackenzie Feldman is the founder and director of Re:wild Your Campus, an organization that collaborates with students, administrators, faculty, and groundskeepers to end the use of toxic pesticides on college campuses and promote organic land management. Her efforts have resulted in Re:wild working with more than 75 schools and over 200 students, and she supported seven universities in attaining Re:wild’s Green Grounds Certification and committing to healthier, biodiverse campuses. Originally from Hawaiʻi, Mackenzie has successfully banned herbicides from every public school in Hawaiʻi and then used the momentum to get glyphosate banned across all ten University of California campuses. She prioritizes student-groundskeeper collaboration before reaching out to executive leadership and is committed to seeing every school in the nation go pesticide-free by 2030, ensuring community members have access to safe living and learning environments.
