José Patiño is the vice president of education and external affairs at Aliento, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting undocumented, DACA, and mixed-immigration status families. In this role, he advocates for justice for undocumented immigrants, works to halt deportations, and champions for immigration reform. José oversees Aliento’s leadership development program, reaching more than 1,000 students each year, and organizes annual education days for 250 attendees to educate public officials on school access issues and trends for the DACAmented community.
