Program Director, Illinois Contraceptive Access Now

Chicago, Illinois

Jordan Hatcher is the program director for Illinois Contraceptive Access Now (ICAN!), a statewide contraceptive equity initiative that brings together diverse stakeholders to de-silo and normalize birth control as basic health care. She connects communities to birth control care and coverage and manages training and technical assistance for 15 health centers and more than 70 clinics to integrate birth control as a routine part of primary care. Prior to joining ICAN!, she worked with the United Nations Foundation to advance national family planning goals in 13 countries. From a young age and through international travel and work, Jordan learned the value of bodily autonomy as a pathway to education and economic mobility. Jordan now aims to transform the movement for women’s health care and reproductive rights from social media activity to community building and activism.
