Ricardo Lima is the Global Vice President of Startups & Investors at Web Summit, focused on building tech communities and connections. He works to increase BIPOC representation in tech entrepreneurship and decision-making at Web Summit’s events and develop tech entrepreneurship education for BIPOC youth in Portugal and Cabo Verde. Under his leadership, Web Summit has consistently increased the number of startups and investors from underrepresented communities, welcoming a thousand such startups and investors into the program since its inception. Ricardo also serves as an ambassador for the Cabo Verde Digital initiative, collaborating with the Cape Verdean government to create opportunities for their participation in Web Summit events, resulting in nearly one hundred Cape Verdean entrepreneurs and students attending Web Summit.
